Cookies N Creme Cake

Cookies 'n Creme Cake

If you're a chocoholic like me, you'll love this devil's food cake filled with delicious whipped topping, cream cheese and Oreo cookies, and drizzled with melted chocolate.
Ingredients
  • 1 pkg (2 layer size) devil's food cake mix
  • 4 squares Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 pkg (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 cups thawed whipped topping
  • 12 Oreo cookies, coarsely crushed
Instructions
  1. Heat oven to 350.
  2. Prepare cake batter and bake in 2 (9") round pans, as directed on package.
  3. Cool cakes in pan for 10 mins. Invert onto wire racks; gently remove pans. Cool completely.
  4. Microwave chocolate and butter in small microwavable bowl on High for 2 mins, or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Cool 5 mins.
  5. Meanwhile, beat cream cheese and sugar in bowl with mixer until well blended. Gently stir in whipped topping and cookies.
  6. Place 1 cake on plate, spread with cream cheese mixture. Top with remaining cake. Spread top with chocolate glaze. Let stand for 10 mins, or until firm. Keep refridgerated.
