Easy French Dip Sandwiches

Easy French Dip Sandwiches
Serves: 18-20
 
This slow-cooker French dip sandwich recipe will feed a small army, but it can easily be cut in half for smaller groups.
Ingredients
  • 4 lbs. stew beef, cubed
  • 2 onions
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 10-1/2 oz. cans beef broth
  • 4 c. water
  • 4 t. beef bouillon granules
  • 18 to 20 sandwich buns, split
Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients except buns in a slow cooker. Cover and cook on low setting for 8 to 10 hours.
  2. Discard onions and garlic. Shred beef and spoon onto buns.
  3. Serve with beef juices from slow cooker for dipping.

Hawaiian Ham Sandwiches
Serves: 24
 
These delightful little sandwiches are perfect for parties, bridal or baby showers. Or just whip them up for a family lunch as a change of pace.
Ingredients
  • 24 Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 1 lb. deli ham, sliced
  • 2-6-oz. pkg. shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 t. poppy seed
  • ½ c. butter, melted
  • 1-1/2 T. Dijon mustard
  • 2 T. dried, minced onion
  • 1-1/2 t. Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
  1. Cut rolls in half; set tops aside.
  2. Place bottoms in a lightly greased 13"x9" baking pan; they should just fit.
  3. Layer ham and cheese on top. Sprinkle with poppy seed; replace roll tops.
  4. In a bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Pour over top.
  5. Bake, covered with aluminum foil, at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Cut into squares to serve.
