Slow cooked pork chops pair nicely with a Dijon cream sauce for a tasty twist to your usual pork chop routine.
Ingredients
  • 3-4 TBSP Vegetable oil
  • 6-8 Center Cut Pork Chops
  • 2-3 cups Onions, thinly sliced
  • 1.5 TBSP Garlic, diced
  • 1.5 tsp Dry Mustard
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Ground Black Pepper
  • ¼ tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 3 TBSP Flour
  • 2 TBSP Cider Vinegar
  • ¾ Cup White Wine
  • 2 TBSP Dijon Mustard
  • ½ cup Heavy Cream
Instructions
  1. Season trimmed center-cut chops well with salt, pepper, garlic salt, onion powder, and Lawry's Seasoning salt. Heat 2 TBSP of vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Brown chops well on both sides and remove to slow cooker.
  2. Thinly slice 2 large onions and place into pan with an additional 1 TBSP of oil. Add in 1.5 tsp of dry mustard, ½ tsp salt, ¼ tsp ground black pepper, and ¼ tsp cayenne pepper. Stir well and cook over medium-low heat until onions are cooked, caramelized, and developed in color.
  3. Add to skillet 1.5 TBSP of minced garlic. Cook 1 minute, stirring frequently. Add 3 TBSP of flour. Stir until well combined and cook 2 minutes. Add ¾ cup of white wine and 2 TBSP apple cider vinegar. Cook until thickened and pour over chops in slow cooker.
  4. Cook 6-7 hours on medium, or 4-5 hours on high. Check approximately 1 hour before end of cook time as total cooking time will depend on your particular model of slow cooker.
  5. When chops are fork tender remove from cooker. Add in 2 TBSP Dijon mustard and ½ cup heavy cream. Stir well and pour over chops on serving plate.
  6. Serve with garlic mashed potatoes or egg noodles.

This recipe is quick and easy, but tastes like you spent all day cooking it.
Ingredients
  • 4 pork chops
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • pinch garlic salt, or to taste
  • 1 onion, chopped or sliced
  • ½ lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
Instructions
  1. Season pork chops with salt, pepper, and garlic salt to taste.
  2. In a large skillet, brown chops over medium-high heat. Add the onion and mushrooms, and saute for one minute.
  3. Pour soup over chops. Cover skillet, and reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer for 20 to 30 minutes, or until chops are cooked through.
  4. Serve mushroom sauce over pork chops.

This mouthwatering dish comes together in no time, and its flavor rivals that of many entrees found in fancy restaurants, but with less fat, so it's healthier!
Ingredients
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch
  • ½ c. fat-free milk
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (4 oz. each)
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • ½ lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • ½ medium onion, sliced and separated into rings
  • 1 tbsp. reduced-fat butter
  • ¼ c. sherry or chicken broth
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ⅛ tsp. pepper
Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, combine cornstarch and milk until smooth; set aside.
  2. Flatten chicken to ¼-in. thickness.
  3. In a large non-stick skillet, cook chicken in oil over medium heat for 5-6 minutes on each side or until juices run clear. Remove and keep warm.
  4. In the same skillet, saute mushrooms and onion in butter until tender. Stir in the sherry or broth, salt and pepper; bring to a boil. Stir cornstarch mixture, add to the pan.
  5. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Serve with chicken.

This delicious spaghetti sauce is flavored with red wine, Italian sausage, garlic and onions. It's quick and easy to make, and your family will love it.
Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (28 ounce) can roma tomatoes (crushed or diced)
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 1 cup Merlot wine
  • 1 lb. ground Italian sausage
Instructions
  1. Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Saute onion and garlic until tender and fragrant.
  2. Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste and wine. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  3. Reduce heat to low, stir in sausage and simmer until sausage is thoroughly cooked.
  4. Server over hot cooked spaghetti or your favorite pasta.
Notes
You can substitute lean ground beef or ground turkey for a healthier version of this sauce.
